Set up IPTV Quebec TV on a Firestick

The Firestick asks for one step the other devices do not: allowing apps that did not come from Amazon\u2019s store. It sounds technical. It takes a minute.

Install the Downloader app

  1. 1.From the Fire TV home screen, go to Find.
  2. 2.Type Downloader and pick it from the suggestions.
  3. 3.Take the one with the orange background, then Download.

Allow unknown sources

The Fire TV has two versions of this menu, depending on how old your stick is.

  1. 1.Newer sticks: Settings, then My Fire TV, then About. Click Fire TV Stick seven times to unlock developer options, go back, and turn them on.
  2. 2.Older sticks: Settings, then My Fire TV, then Developer Options, then turn on Apps from Unknown Sources.
Worth knowing. If developer options are nowhere to be found, it is the seven clicks on the About screen that bring them back. Amazon hid them in an update.

Install a player and enter your login

Open Downloader, enter the app address we sent you, and install it. Any one of these does the job:

    The simplest, and it costs nothing.

Open the player, choose the Xtream Codes option, and enter the username, password and server address you received after ordering.

The unknown-sources business is the tedious part of the Firestick. If it puts you off, Android boxes and Chromecast install the same apps straight from the Play Store, and Samsung and LG TVs skip the extra hardware entirely. Either way, look at which channels are included before you start.
